The Champaign Officials Association (COA) was founded in 1939. Sports covered by the COA are Baseball, Basketball, Football, Softball & Volleyball. The COA was formed to educate and train officials in the East Central Illinois area.
Our primary focus is on the athletes in our area schools. The athletes work hard to improve their abilities and it's important that we as officials do the same. Our area athletes deserve the best and our goal is to provide them with the best officiating.
To that end, we conduct monthly association meetings throughout the school year, beginning in August. Our meetings are held on the 3rd Sunday of each month beginning with our kick-off meetings each August and going through April.
